Alisa is a deaf parent at Barcliffe Academy who befriends Lynette. After Lynette sees that her husband talks about her badly when she's out of lip-reading range, she meddles. As usual for Mrs. Scavo, the plan backfires, and Alisa's husband leaves her. She signs off with the mermorable insult "B****" which needs no translation.
Marc Cherry: Marlee actually called and said she wanted to do the show. That was the very first example of someone calling and saying they wanted to do the show, and me thinking about it and finding a place for them. I thought, Oh okay, and I got intrigued by the problems of a deaf housewife.
