Mrs. Huber's sister Felicia comes to town to investigate Martha's death and decides not to leave until she finds out what happened. She spots a picture of Mary-Alice on Paul's refrigerator and realizes that she knew Mary-Alice many years ago in Utah by her given name Angela Forrest and begins to unravel the mystery of "Dana". This woman has a way of holding gardening shears that makes you want to run into the bushes and hide. But as seen in her climatic scene with Paul her bravado is a cover for a much more vulnerable inner self.
"Don't look shocked Martha. It makes your face look fat!"
Marc Cherry: I worked with Harriet on another show "the five Mrs. Buchanans". When I wrote the part of Mrs. Huber, my first choice was Christine Estabrook, who played it and my second choice was Harriet. In the back of my head , I said "Well, Mrs. Huber's going to die, and i'm going to need someone to play her sister, so if i get Christine to play Mrs. Huber, Harriet will play her sister." I got it the way I wanted it. Harriet's one of those people who is consummate professional.
